Halewood International approached R+R to develop and manufacture a product twist for a leading brand of pre-mixed alcaholic ‘shots’.
The plastic shot glasses were filled and sealed the right way up, but due to their unique shape needed to be packaged upside-down. This meant they had to be collected from one conveyor, inverted, and presented onto a second conveyor within a very confined space.
R+R achieved the customer’s requirements with a precision-crafted set of guide rods, which used the product’s momentum to carry it through the 180° twist and onto the second conveyor
R&R were recently approached by a major client to design, engineer and develop a machine capable of loading fluid-filled plastic sachets into boxes.
The client was searching for a completely automatic solution which offered better handling, accurate quantities and a faster output than their existing strategy.
The design by R&R was approved – the machine was assembled and tested at their premises in Walsall, and will go into production during February 2010.
